The BMW R12 is a pre-World War II motorcycle that was produced by the German car manufacturing company BMW. The motorbike was first presented and developed in 1935 and a total of 36,000 motorcycles were built by 1942. BMW R12 was the first in the world being produced with hydraulically damped telescopic forks.* During World War II many R12s were adopted for military use. Some of them were fitted with MG34 or MG42 machine gun. Others however served in sanitary service like the one on picture below from unknown unit of Panzer Gruppe 'Guderian'.

This scratch-built 1:72 scale model represents BMW R12 ambulance version. Once all parts were ready, I cast them in resin thus creating a short run resin model kit. This way I am able to produce more models of BMW R12 in 1:72 scale in other versions.
